My package hasn't arrived but the Post Office says it was delivered

If the post office indicates that your package was delivered but you have not received it, here are a few steps you can take.

  1. Look Around & Check Neighbors (Most common): This is, by far, the most common reason. It usually means the package was delivered to the wrong address - e.g., a next door neighbor. Less commonly, if you're not home, your carrier will leave it with a neighbor to ensure it's not taken. And sometimes packages can be left in unexpected places. Check around for any more secure locations where the delivery person may have left it. If your postal carrier changes regularly, or if you had a substitute carrier on your route today, they may have put it in a different place than your usual carrier would.
  2. Check the Tracking Status: It's uncommon, but occasionally the tracking status will change back from "Delivered" to another status, e.g., "Moving Through Network" or "Arriving Late". Verify the tracking status on https://www.usps.com/ to see any updates or additional information regarding the delivery.
  3. Contact USPS: If you still cannot locate your package, try to ask your postal carrier, as they'll often have specific knowledge where your package is. If you can't talk to your carrier, reach out to USPS directly for assistance; ideally, contact your local post office branch. They may be able to provide more detailed information about the delivery.
  4. Contact us: If you still cannot locate the package, please contact us.
